Touch Screen
Exhibition,This exhibition, which I organized with Julia Dault, was presented at Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran in Montreal during summer 2019. It brings together artists whose works evoke partitions, scrims, and portals. Today such terms prompt us to think of networked screens—the objects in our lives most readily understood as bringing forward other worlds and spaces. The artists in this exhibition, by creating artworks that seem to push back and forth across thresholds, do something similar. Their intricate craftsmanship and their play with surfaces result in objects that serve as both carriers and embodiments of meaning.
