Rivers Institute
Strategy,The Rivers Institute for Contemporary Art and Thought is a non-profit institute for research, publishing and exhibitions of contemporary art. It’s based in New Orleans and collaborates with artists and partner institutions across the globe. I spent eighteen months, from before its Summer 2020 launch through the completion its first large, multidisciplinary projects, regularly consulting with founder Andrea Andersson. These sessions centered on operational strategy, board composition, fundraising and grant-writing, creative and social-media strategy, publication editing, and copywriting. This work helped the organization solidify contracts, receive six-figure grants, decide on its public voice, and structure its administrative methodologies.
